DAN BOEN - OK 2ND DISTRICT

The following is taken from Wikipedia on Dan Boren:

Boren is a cosponsor of H.R. 25, the FairTax Act, which replaces federal taxes with a flat sales tax. This legislation attracted 59 members in the 109th Congress, more than any other tax reform proposal. (It is now has 72 co-sponsors with the current Congress)

In 2004 Boren beat his Republican opponent 65.89% to 24.11%; in 2006 he won 72.74% to 27.26%. That is pretty impressive. I firmly believe that his support of the FairTax is a huge contributing factor to such resounding victories.

Rep Boren is a member of the Blue Dog Democrat Coalition which has 47 members. This coalition would be a great place to begin increasing support for the FairTax among Democrats in Congress. I encourage everyone to contact Rep Boren and petition him to promote the FairTax among this coalition.

Here is a list of the other members of this coalition. Let's not leave it solely to Rep Boren to solicit the support of this important legislation. Let's contact these members and emphasize that more than ever in these challanging economic times the FairTax would be a big step toward our economic recovery.
